Setting up shop in M-87 Argora Housing Colony means we are right in the middle of where people actually live. It’s a lot quieter here than being on a main commercial strip, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on paperwork or talk through a client’s situation. The office is basically a converted part of the house, so it feels very lived-in. We have a couple of desks, some heavy filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. Most of the day is spent looking at documents or waiting for someone to drop off a file they forgot. People find us by looking for the gate number, and sometimes they get lost because all the houses in the colony look a bit similar. We usually keep the window open to let in some air, though you can hear the kids playing outside or the neighbors' dogs barking once in a while. It’s a low-key environment. We don’t wear suits unless there’s a really big meeting, mostly just regular clothes and comfortable shoes. There’s a small kitchen area where we brew some pretty strong coffee to keep us going through the afternoon. It’s a straightforward way to work, just helping folks out with their consultancy needs without any of the big city flash or high-rise stress.
