Arbind General Stores

Arbind General Stores is located at Kankitand Chowk along the Ratu Road. This is in the Ratu area of Ranchi with the pin code 835222. It is a spot where a lot of people stop when they are traveling through. We have a big sign out front but it is a bit faded from the sun. Inside, the store is packed with everything you might need for a house. We spend our hours stocking the shelves and talking to the drivers who stop by. The floor is made of old tiles and we have to mop them often because of the mud from the road. Ratu Road is always full of trucks and buses. We have a small radio that plays local songs while we work. Arbind General Stores is not a fancy supermarket. It is just a place where you can find honest items. We have a few light bulbs that flicker sometimes in the back corner. We don't have a big team of workers. It is just us and maybe a cousin or two helping out. People from Kankitand Chowk are our main customers. We know their names and what they usually buy. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery from Ranchi city. We just take it one day at a time. The shop is our second home and we are here most of the week. We keep a large umbrella by the door for when it rains.
