Anytime General Store

Anytime General Store is located on Kanke Road in Ranchi, right near the petrol pump. I named it that because I try to be available as much as possible for the people living around here. We carry everything from grocery staples like flour and oil to toiletries and chilled drinks. Being near a petrol pump means we get a lot of people stopping by while they are out driving, looking for a quick snack or a bottle of water. Ranchi can get quite busy, especially on this road, so it’s a lively place to have a shop. I run the place with my wife, and we’ve been here in the 834001 area for several years now. Our shelves are always a bit full because I hate having to tell a customer that we don’t have what they want. It’s a simple setup, no fancy lights or air conditioning, just a regular local store. We have a lot of regular customers from the nearby colonies who come in for their monthly rations. I like the routine of checking the stock and talking to the delivery guys who bring the crates of sodas and snacks. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the rain makes it hard for people to come out, but usually, we have a steady stream of folks walking in. We just focus on keeping the basics in stock and being friendly to everyone who walks through the door. This is our life.
