Adarsh Gramin Nidhi Limited

Our little spot for Adarsh Gramin Nidhi Limited is over in Bero, out in Ranchi. It’s located at the place of Manish Kumar, whose father was the late Uday B Ram. Most people in this part of Jharkhand know the family name, so it’s not too hard to find us once you get into the village area. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy outside. It’s just a practical space where we sit down and deal with the local money matters that come up. Living and working in the same area means we see the same faces every day. It’s more of a community thing than a strictly business one. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window to get some light on the ledger books. That’s just how it is around here. We handle things for the rural folks who don't want to travel all the way into the main city of Ranchi just to sort out their savings or small bits of business. There’s usually a bit of a crowd on market days when everyone is already out and about. We keep a few extra chairs for when people want to sit for a bit and rest their feet while we finish up their entries. It’s a plain room with a wooden table and a cupboard for the files, nothing more than what’s needed to get the job done properly.
