Aak Sewa Foundation

We’re set up over at Khle Lal Prasad’s place in Dinkar Nagar, which is part of Hatia. It’s a fairly busy neighborhood, and we’re right in the middle of all the daily life. The Aak Sewa Foundation is basically just us trying to help out the community here in whatever way we can. It’s not a corporate office or anything like that, just a room where we get together to plan things and talk. We don’t have much in the way of fancy equipment or new furniture. Mostly it is just a few chairs, a table, and a lot of talk about what needs doing next. Folks around Hatia know us, or at least they know the house where we work from. We do a lot of small tasks that don’t always get noticed by everyone, but they matter to the people living nearby. Sometimes the power goes out, or we run late on things, but that’s just how it goes around here. We don't have a big marketing budget or a professional social media team. People just come by when they hear we’re doing something through the grapevine. It’s very informal, and we like it that way. We like being accessible to our neighbors without all the red tape you see with bigger groups. Just simple people trying to make things a little bit better for everyone else in Dinkar Nagar. It’s hard work sometimes, but it’s what we chose to do.
