Swarup Farm

Swarup Farm is located right in the E-74 Growth Center on Mansa Road. Being in an industrial area like this is a bit different for a farm, but that is where we are. We have some land here where we try to grow things even with all the factories nearby. The Mansa Road stays busy with trucks carrying materials back and forth all day long. It can get noisy, but we are used to it by now. We spend a lot of time checking on the crops and making sure the water pumps are working right. Sometimes the soil is tricky, so we have to put in extra effort. It’s just a few of us working here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just focus on the plants and the harvest. The weather is usually the biggest thing we talk about during lunch. If it rains too much or not enough, our whole week changes. We store our tools in a small shed near the entrance of the plot. It’s not a place for tourists, just a working farm trying to produce what we can in this industrial patch. You see a lot of grey buildings around us, so our green rows of plants stand out a bit. It is a lot of manual labor, bending over and getting dirt under our fingernails, but we prefer it to sitting in a small office all day long.
