We set this up behind the Jha and Thakur fuel center here in Rampur. It’s a quiet spot near the Kali Mandir. Vidyadhar Jha helped get the space ready for us. We just wanted to do something for the community. Most days find us busy with the daily tasks. It isn't a fancy office or anything. Just a few rooms where we meet. People from around here stop by sometimes. A few chairs and a big table are all we really have. Sometimes the noise from the fuel center gets a bit loud but we got used to it. The temple is right there, so it's easy for people to find us. We started with just a few of us. We didn't really have a big plan at first, just a desire to be useful. A lot of time is spent talking to folks in the neighborhood. You can see the temple flags from our window. It’s a local effort, really. We keep our paperwork in some old filing cabinets we bought second-hand. It's not perfect but it works for what we need. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons. We just open the windows and keep going. Rampur is a busy place, but this corner feels okay. We try to help out where we can. It’s mostly just us trying to make things a bit better day by day. Nothing too complicated about it. We've been here for a while now. Everyone knows where we are.
