Corbett River View Retreat

We are located at Zero Garjia in the village of Dhikuli. Our place, the Corbett River View Retreat, is right by the water, which gives it a specific feel that you don't get in the middle of a town. We have been here for years, and we have seen the river change through all the different seasons. We are just a group of people who look after the grounds and the rooms. It is a lot of work because the plants grow so fast out here and the buildings need constant attention. We don't have a corporate headquarters in some big city. We are just here on the ground, dealing with whatever comes our way. Sometimes a guest has a problem with their room, or the rain causes a leak, and we just go and fix it ourselves. We don't have a mission statement or any of those polished slogans. We just try to keep the place tidy and the atmosphere calm. People come here to get away from their busy lives, and we try to stay out of their way so they can enjoy the quiet. We spend our evenings listening to the insects and the river. It is a simple way of running a business, based on just doing the chores and being around when someone needs help.
