Vasudha Mangal Impex Private Limited is based in Bijulia, over in Ramgarh. It’s run from the place associated with Radheshyam Agarwal's family. We handle import and export tasks, which sounds more glamorous than it actually is. Most of the time, it’s just us sitting in the office dealing with shipping documents and talking on the phone. Ramgarh is a small place, so word gets around easily. We started this because we saw an opportunity to do something from our own town instead of moving to a big city like Delhi or Mumbai. The office is pretty basic. We have some shelves for files and a couple of computers that sometimes run slow. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who live nearby. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when a shipment is delayed at the port and we have to stay late to sort it out. We don't have a big corporate culture. We just talk like regular neighbors. Sometimes we share snacks and talk about what's happening in the market. It’s a small-scale business and we like it that way. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make a living and keep our commitments to the people we work with. The weather in Ramgarh is decent, which makes the commute easy enough. We just keep at it every day and try to stay organized.
