The Hope Hospital

If you head down Argada Road toward Village Binjhar, you will find The Hope Hospital. It is near the P.O. Marar area. We are a small hospital serving the local villages. It’s not like the big city hospitals with glass walls and hundreds of nurses. We are a more modest building made of brick and concrete. We provide the basic care that people out here need without them having to travel for hours. We have a few beds, a small emergency room, and a place for people to wait. The equipment is older but we keep it in good shape. Working in a village means you know everyone. We see our neighbors for everything from minor cuts to more serious fevers. It gets dusty out here on Argada Road, and sometimes the power goes out, but we keep the generators running and do our best. We don't have a big board of directors or a marketing department. It’s just us, the doctors and nurses who live in this community. We stay busy with the day-to-day work of helping people get well. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when resources are tight, but we’ve been here for years and the people of Binjhar and Marar know they can count on us to be open. It is just a plain, working hospital for the local people. We keep the lights on and the doors unlocked for whoever needs us.
