Navneet Hardware Stores is sitting right on Nh 33, pretty close to the Block Office. It’s a handy spot for people passing through. We have been here for a good while now. The shop is filled with all the usual things you’d expect, like different sizes of nails, hammers, and stacks of PVC pipes in the corner. It gets pretty dusty inside because of all the trucks driving by on the highway, but we try to sweep it out every morning. My father was the one who really got things moving here, and now I handle the daily stuff. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just shelves made of old wood and some metal racks. Most of our customers are locals who are fixing up their houses or builders who ran out of cement mid-job. We keep a ledger on the front counter to track everything. Sometimes the pen runs out of ink and I have to hunt for another one while a customer is waiting. It’s a bit disorganized at times, but we know where every single nut and bolt is hidden. If you need a specific tool and we don’t have it, I usually just tell you to try the shop in the next town over. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a place that has what you need when you're in a hurry. The tea stall next door brings us chai twice a day, which is the best part of the afternoon.
