Harshit Art Gallery And Statue Sculpturist

Our place is at 44, Delhi Road in Ramnagar. We call it Harshit Art Gallery And Statue Sculpturist, but mostly it's just where we spend our lives carving. The road outside is always busy since it’s the main Delhi Road. You can hear the trucks and cars all day. Inside, we are usually busy with a statue or some other art piece. It’s a lot of manual labor. My hands have a lot of calluses and there is always grit under my fingernails. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to work the stone. Sometimes we take a break and sit by the door to watch the traffic in Ramnagar. It's a good place to be because people can see us working as they drive by. We aren't interested in being a big corporation. We just want to make statues that look decent and last a long time. The gallery part is just a few rooms where we put the stuff we’ve finished so it doesn’t get damaged in the workshop. It’s dusty and loud and sometimes it’s way too hot, but this is what we do. We’ve been at 44 Delhi Road for a while now and we know the area well. It’s not a fancy life, but seeing a finished statue makes it worth the effort.
