Sri Vel Tiles House

Sri Vel Tiles House is tucked away at No. 5/15 on 3rd Main Road in Sivasakthi Nagar. Kolathur is a busy part of the city, but our street is a bit more manageable than the big main roads. We have tiles stacked up everywhere you look, from the floor to the ceiling in some parts of the shop. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, especially when we get a new shipment in and have to find space for it all. We spend a lot of time sweeping up dust and making sure the samples are visible for whoever walks in. People from around Sivasakthi Nagar usually come to us because we’re right here in the neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights, just a regular shop where you can see what’s available. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers moving boxes around. The work is simple but it keeps us on our feet all day long. Sometimes we have to deal with broken tiles in the crates, which is always a bit frustrating, but that’s part of the trade. We try to keep the place organized so we can find specific patterns when someone asks. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us and the people who live nearby. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’re used to the rhythm of the 3rd Main Road. It's just us and our tiles.
