Khudayat Foundation

Our foundation is located in Gund Adalkoot, which is part of the Banihal area in Doda. We operate out of Zakir Hussain Wani’s place. Being up here in Jammu & Kashmir, the scenery is beautiful but the work is just regular daily stuff. We are tucked away in the 182146 area. Life in Banihal is quiet for the most part, though things get busy when people are traveling through. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. It’s mostly just us sitting around a table and figuring out how to help out. The roads up here can be a bit tricky in the winter with the snow and all, but we manage. We’ve lived here a long time so we know most of the families around Gund Adalkoot. Our office is just a simple space where we keep our records and meet people. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do because it’s just helping where it's needed. Sometimes we are out in the field and sometimes we are just answering the phone. It’s a bit of a mix. Doda is a rugged place and it makes you work hard. We try to keep things simple and honest. If you ever find yourself in Banihal, you’ll see that we are just regular folks doing our part without much fuss. It is a slow process sometimes, but we stay at it.
