Caritas Hospital

If you ever find yourself at Caritas Hospital in Thellakom, you’ll notice it’s a place that stays busy from sunup to sundown. We have a lot of staff members who have been here for years, so we’ve seen the place change quite a bit. The corridors are wide, but they still get crowded when the visiting hours start. We spend our shifts moving between the different wards and making sure the equipment is where it’s supposed to be. It’s a practical kind of place, nothing too flashy, just stone floors and white walls that have seen a lot of history. There’s always the smell of cleaning supplies in the air, which you stop noticing after the first hour of work. We get people coming in from all over the district, and the waiting rooms are often full of families talking quietly. Outside, the grounds are kept fairly neat, and there’s usually a few birds hanging around the trees near the entrance. It can be a stressful job sometimes, especially when the emergency room gets a sudden influx of people, but we just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. We don't have any fancy mission statements hanging on the walls; we just show up, do our work, and go home to our families in the evening. It’s just how life goes here at the hospital in the middle of Thellakom.
