Caritas Hospital

Caritas Hospital is located out in Thellakom. If you’re heading down the main road, you can’t really miss the turn-off for the post office area. We spend a lot of time here dealing with the daily flow of people coming in from the surrounding villages. It’s a large place, and sometimes the hallways feel like they go on forever. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local shortcuts and where to get the best tea during our breaks. The weather in Thellakom can be quite damp, especially during the monsoon, so there’s always someone mopping the floors to keep things from getting too slippery. We have a lot of different departments, but it all feels like one big machine that never really stops running. Even at night, the lights are on and there’s always someone walking around with a clipboard or a tray. It’s not the quietest place to work, but you get used to the sounds of the machines and the distant chatter. We don’t really do much fancy stuff, just the usual hospital routines like checking vitals and making sure the rooms are ready for the next person. The parking lot usually fills up by nine in the morning, so most of us try to get here early. It’s just a regular part of the community here in the Thellakom P.O. area, keeping things moving through the day and night without much fuss.
