Zuhaira Stores

Zuhaira Stores is right in the middle of Pevedi Bazeer in Palikulam. The address is 2 345-1, but most people just know us by being near the market area. Being in a bazaar means it is always noisy outside, with people shouting and bikes going past constantly. Our store is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of general goods. We sell a bit of everything because that’s what people in Palikulam expect when they walk in. It can be a struggle to find things sometimes if we haven't put the new boxes away, but we usually know where everything is tucked. The floors are concrete and show the wear of many feet coming through every day. We open early because that’s when the morning crowd is out buying their daily essentials. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually pretty tired, but there’s always one more customer needing something. It is a family-run kind of place, so you might see my kids or my brother helping out behind the counter. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning, just some fans that hum all day long.
