Mpk Jasmine Plant Maker

I’ve been working with plants for a long time here on Middle Street. It’s a quiet part of Thangachimadam, and the air usually smells like the sea and flowers. At Mpk Jasmine Plant Maker, we mostly just focus on getting the jasmine starts right. It’s not easy work because the sun here in Rameswaram Taluk gets pretty hot, and you have to keep an eye on the water constantly. I spend most of my mornings out there checking the roots. We aren't a big operation with fancy machines or anything like that. It’s mostly just us getting our hands dirty and making sure the saplings look healthy before they go out. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or a batch doesn't take like it should, but that's just how it goes with farming things. People around Ramnad know where to find us if they need something for their garden or a bigger plot. We’ve been at this same spot, 4/2688 Middle Street, for a while now. It's just a regular house and yard setup. There’s no big sign or anything, just a lot of green plants sitting around waiting to grow. We try to keep things simple and just do the work that needs doing every day. If you're passing through, you'll see us there, probably moving pots around or hosing down the rows. My neighbor's kids sometimes run through while we're potting, and we usually drink tea under the shade when the heat gets to be too much around noon. It's a slow life but it's good work.
