Siva Gurunathan

My name is Siva Gurunathan and I run things from my place on South Street in Thoruvaloor. It’s down in Ramanathapuram, a part of Tamil Nadu that feels very much like home because it is. The address is 1/111, and it’s a pretty straightforward house. I started doing this work because I wanted to stay local and build something for myself right here in the village. It isn’t a grand business with many employees. It’s more of a personal project that grew over time. I handle the paperwork, the visitors, and whatever else comes up during the week. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but that’s just how things are here and we deal with it. I don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions of what I do. I just wake up, have my coffee, and start on the list of things I need to finish. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when there is a festival or a wedding on the street. I think it’s better to be honest about how small we are. We don’t pretend to be some huge company from the city. This is just a local man working out of a local house, trying to do a decent job every day. It’s simple work, and that’s exactly how I like to keep things in my life.
