Gandhi Sea Shell Mart

Gandhi Sea Shell Mart is located at 30-N on Market Street. Being on a market street means it’s always loud and full of energy outside our doors. We’ve been here for a long time and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit. Our shop is filled with all sorts of shells and items from the sea. It has a very specific smell, a bit like the ocean, which we don’t even notice anymore. We aren't a big fancy store with glass cases. It’s more of a traditional mart where things are stacked up and you have to look around to find what you want. We spend our days talking to people who walk in off the street. Some are just curious and others are looking for something specific. Market Street is a great place to be because there is always a crowd. We don’t really do any marketing; we just open the doors and wait for people to come in. It’s a family-style environment here. We handle the shells, clean them up, and put them out for sale. Sometimes we get some really unusual stuff in. It’s a simple life on a busy street. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just stay here at 30-N and keep the mart running. It’s what we know how to do, day in and day out.
