You can find us in the Jamaliah Chank Building, specifically at No. 154 East Street in Kilkarai. We are right across from the State Bank of India, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. The building is one of those older structures that has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We do both importing and exporting here, so there is always a mix of things coming in and going out. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the bank or the nearby shops. We have been working out of this East Street location for a long time. The office is filled with the smell of old paper and sometimes the sea air when the wind blows the right way. We don't have a fancy reception desk; you just come in and one of us will be there at a desk. We spend a lot of time talking to the local traders and the guys at the bank across the way. It’s a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We just try to stay on top of our shipments and make sure the customers are getting what they asked for. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the boxes and writing out the manifests by hand sometimes. We keep things simple and just focus on the task at hand every day.
