Tagore English School

We are located in Moti Nagar, over in the Agrahar area of Ramanagara. It’s a quiet part of town mostly. The school building is tucked away from the main traffic, which is nice for the students. We’ve been teaching kids from this neighborhood for quite a while now. The school has a small gate that always squeaks a little when you open it. Inside, the rooms are painted a light color that’s faded over the years. We have desks that have been used by many different groups of students. Every morning, the children line up for the assembly in the courtyard. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work for everyone. You can see the rocky hills of Ramanagara from some of the upper windows. During the monsoon, the rain hits the roof quite loudly, and we have to speak up a bit more. We teach in English, and the kids try their best with it even when they’re just playing during the breaks. There are a few trees in the corner where the staff parks their scooters. We don’t have fancy computers in every room, but we have the books we need. The parents often come by in the afternoon to pick up the younger ones. It’s a simple routine that repeats every week. Nothing too complicated goes on here, just regular schooling for the local families who live nearby.
