Saniya Silks

Saniya Silks is located at No. 3920 in Mehboob Nagar. We’ve been here a long time, and the shop is packed from floor to ceiling with different fabrics. It’s mostly silk, of course, but we have all sorts of stuff tucked away in the corners. The lighting isn't the best, so we often have to take the fabric to the door just to show someone the real color in the sunlight. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. We don't have a fancy display window like the shops in the big malls. Most people find us because they live in Mehboob Nagar or someone told them about our collection. Selling silk is mostly about patience. People like to touch the fabric and see how it drapes, and we let them take their time. We don't do those big sales or "limited time" offers. We just have the prices we have. It gets a bit dusty with all the thread and cloth moving around, so we’re always sweeping. It’s just me and a couple of others running the place. We know most of our customers by name by now. We don’t bother with corporate strategies. We just open the shop, tidy the stacks, and wait to see who comes through the door today. It’s a quiet life, mostly, and we’re happy with it. We just sell good fabric.
