A To Z Wooden Handicrafts

We’ve been set up here at No. 12 Lwcc Handicrafts for quite some time now. Kalanagar is a busy little area, especially along S.B.M Road where we are. Channapatna is famous for its wood work, and we are just trying to keep that tradition alive. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at. There is sawdust on the floor and the smell of wood in the air every single day. We spend most of our time at the lathes, turning pieces of wood into toys or ornaments. It gets a bit noisy when the machines are all running, but that's just the sound of work getting done. Sometimes we have to hunt for the right piece of seasoned wood before we can even start a job. It takes a lot of patience. People often stop by when they are passing through Channapatna. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It is just a small group of us here. We use our hands for almost everything. Every piece comes out a little bit different, which is what happens when you don't use big robots. The workshop is a bit cluttered with half-finished projects and blocks of timber piled in the corners. We like it that way. It feels like a real place where things are actually made. We aren't interested in being some polished corporate business. We just want to make decent wooden things at our spot in Kalanagar.
