A-1 Bricks N Blocks

Our place is in Sidnahalli, right near the Mudgara Gate in Chanapatna. It is called A-1 Bricks N Blocks, but it is just a regular yard where we do our work. We make both bricks and those cement blocks that people use these days. The area around Mudgara Gate is usually quite active with people passing through. We have a lot of space here to lay everything out. It’s not a fancy setup. We have the mixing area and the molds, and then a lot of ground for everything to sit and dry out. Chanapatna is known for other things, but here at our spot, it is all about the blocks. We are always covered in some kind of dust or grit. It’s the kind of job where you don't really bother wearing clean clothes because they won't stay that way for long. We get customers from all over the nearby villages. Sometimes they bring their own small trailers, or we help them find a way to move the blocks. It is just us and a couple of guys doing the heavy lifting. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just show up, make the blocks, and hope the weather stays dry enough for them to set properly. It’s a simple way to make a living and we have been doing it this way for quite a bit. There is always more work to be done in the yard.
