We are located out in Ramanagara, which everyone knows is the heart of the silk industry in this region. Our office is in Ranganatha Badavane, No. 1642/1033 in Ward No. 17. It is a bit of a distance from the center of Bangalore, but for sericulture, this is the place to be. We have been working under the name Mysiri Sericulture for some time now. Our daily routine involves a lot of interaction with the local farmers and the people who raise the silkworms. It is a very practical kind of business. We don't spend all our time sitting behind a desk. Often, we are out checking on the cocoons or meeting people in the market. The office is just a simple place where we keep our records and meet with people. It gets quite dusty because of the roads in Kanakapura, but that is just how it is here. We have a small team of local people who understand the silk business inside and out. It is not a job for someone who wants a clean, quiet corporate office. It is busy, it is loud, and there is always something happening with the crops. We like being part of the history of silk in Ramanagara. It is a tough business but it is what we know and what we do best every day. We stay late most evenings to get things done correctly.
