You can find us over at the Jayashankar Building, which is right near Kalya. We operate the Magadi Farmer Producer Company Limited from there. It’s a local spot, very close to the Grama Panchayat in Kalya, Kasaba Hobali. The building itself is easy to spot if you are in the area. We have been here for a while now. Magadi is a good place to be if you’re into farming. The area around Bangalore Rural has its own pace. We aren't in a rush like people in the city. Our office is just a regular room with some chairs and a lot of registers. We spend our mornings talking to the farmers who drop by after visiting the Panchayat. There’s a lot of conversation about the soil and the rain, as you might expect. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. Usually, it's just us sitting around discussing how to get the best out of the season. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We like being part of the Kalya community. It’s where our roots are. We just handle the business side of the farming collective, making sure everyone gets a fair shake. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do every day and it feels right.
