Eagleton-The Golf Resort

You can find us out at the 30th kilometer mark on the highway that goes from Bangalore to Mysore. We are situated in Bidadi, which is a bit of a drive from the city center, but that is kind of the point of being a resort. It gets pretty busy here, especially on the weekends when people want to get away from the traffic in Bangalore. We spend most of our time looking after the greens and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever is checking in. It’s a lot of land to manage. The golf course takes up a huge chunk of our day-to-day work, between the watering and the mowing. It's a big operation with a lot of moving parts. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to scramble, but that’s just life out here. We have a mix of regular golfers who come every week and families who just want to stay for a night or two. Our staff stays pretty busy in the kitchen and the lobby area. It isn't a perfect place, things break and we fix them as we go. We don't use much fancy language to describe what we do. We just provide a place for people to play some golf and sleep for a bit away from the noise. It’s a lot of hard work behind the scenes to keep the grass looking decent and the pool clean. We're just out here in Bidadi doing our best.
