At H. No 3/44/3 in Kundanpalli, Ramagundam, you’ll find our office. Vigneshwara Labour Contract Cooperative Society Ltd. is basically a group where we manage people for different types of work. Ramagundam is a place where there is always a need for extra hands because of the big plants and mines nearby. Our office is just a simple house converted into a workspace where the workers come to check their schedules. There are a few benches outside where people sit and wait in the mornings. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to the supervisors about who is going where for the day. It’s a lot of manual tracking on paper and some basic computer entries. The walls have a few old calendars and some notices pinned up for the staff. It’s not a fancy corporate building, just a local spot in Kundanpalli where we try to keep things moving. Sometimes it gets quite loud when everyone is there at once trying to get their assignments. We deal with all sorts of labor needs and it keeps us busy from very early in the morning. People in the neighborhood know us well because we’ve been around this street for years. It’s a community-led thing, so there’s always a familiar face around the office. We just focus on getting the workers to their sites and making sure the shifts are covered properly.
