Laxmi Enterprises

Laxmi Enterprises is right in the middle of Barlipit Bazaar in Kothagudem. Our house number is 9-8-3/1, which is helpful if you’re trying to find us among all the other shops in the Khammam district. We’ve been part of this bazaar for a long time. It’s a small operation, mostly just me and a couple of helpers. We sell a variety of household goods and hardware items that the local people need. The shop is quite narrow and packed from floor to ceiling with boxes. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is asking for, but we usually know where everything is hidden. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we have a small fan that we keep running near the counter. People stop by not just to buy things but sometimes just to chat about the local news while they wait for their change. We don't have a website or a catalog. If you want something, you just come in and ask. We get our stock from the bigger distributors and try to keep a bit of everything on hand. The street outside is always crowded with bikes and people walking to the market. It’s a bit chaotic but it’s home for us. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, serving the neighborhood.
