We operate out of H. No. 4-5-212/C/4 in the Vinayaka Nagar part of Jyothinagar. Being in Ramagundam, the weather is usually quite hot, and the dust from the roads is something we just live with. There is usually a truck or two parked nearby or at the local yard. The office is mostly for keeping the logbooks and making sure the drivers know where they are supposed to be going. There is a lot of talking on mobile phones to check on locations and delivery times. Grease and oil stains are pretty common on the floors and our clothes. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and moving things from one place to another. The desk is cluttered with receipts, keys, and old maps that we still use sometimes. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs. Some nights are long when a shipment is late or a vehicle has a breakdown on the highway. We just have to figure it out and get things moving again. Ramagundam is a tough place for vehicles because of the heat, so we spend time checking tires and engines. It is a no-nonsense type of work where you are only as good as the last trip you finished. We just keep the engines running and the schedules as tight as we can manage given the road conditions.
