Sri Lakshmivenkateswara Bricks

Sri Lakshmivenkateswara Bricks is located at 3-15-72 in Sorakayala Palem. This is a quiet area for the most part, but our brickyard stays fairly loud with the sounds of the work going on. We are basically a small team of local folks who know how to handle the clay and the heat. The address might seem a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here, but once you get into Sorakayala Palem, just look for the stacks. We spend our days molding, drying, and firing the bricks. It’s a process that hasn't changed much for us over the years. We don't use any high-tech systems; it is mostly just hands-on labor and keeping an eye on the weather. When it gets really hot in the summer, we have to take breaks in the shade, but the work never really stops. We sell to people building small houses or walls in the nearby villages. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we take it one day at a time. The ground here is good for what we do, and we’ve built a decent life around this yard. People come by on their tractors to pick up their orders, and we help them load up the trailers. There isn't any corporate talk here, just talk about the quality of the earth and how long the next batch will take. We just keep doing what we know how to do and hope the rain stays away.
