Vinayak Earth Movers

Vinayak Earth Movers is based out of the Bamantukra Talai Road area, specifically near the Chopati junction on NH8. We deal with the heavy side of construction, mostly moving earth and clearing land for new builds. The machines we use are big and loud, and they require a lot of grease and maintenance to keep them from breaking down in the middle of a job. Down here at the Chopati, the traffic is constant, and there is always something happening on the road. We started out with just one old excavator and slowly added more as we could afford them. It’s not an easy business because the equipment is expensive and the work is physically demanding. You’re always worrying about the next rainy season and how it will turn the sites into mud. We spend a lot of time on the NH8 moving our gear from one village to another. It’s a lot of coordination and hoping the trucks don't have any trouble on the way. We don't have a big corporate office; our office is usually the cab of a pickup truck or a small desk in the corner of the workshop. People around here know us as the folks who show up and do the digging. It’s a rough job, but someone has to do it, and we’ve gotten pretty used to the dirt and the long hours.
