Vikrant Marble

Vikrant Marble is located right out on Pasoond NH-8, where the trucks are always rumbling past on their way to the next city. It is a dusty spot, which is just how it goes when you deal with stone all day long. We spend a lot of our time out in the yard looking at slabs and checking for cracks or patterns in the marble. The sun can be pretty brutal out here on the highway, so we usually have some shade set up where we sit and talk to people who pull over to see what we have in stock. There is no air conditioning in the main area, just the sound of the wind and the heavy machinery moving the blocks around. We have some guys who have been with us for years, and they know exactly how to handle the heavy stuff without making a mess of things. Our office is small and mostly filled with ledgers and samples of different stones we have collected over time. It is not a place for sitting around in suits. Most of the time, our boots are covered in white slurry from the saws. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for the loaders. It’s a simple operation really, focusing on the weight and the texture of the earth we’re selling to anyone who needs it for their floors or walls.
