Our facility is out in Mokhampura, right along the NH-8. It’s a large industrial patch and we have a good amount of space for the processing work. You can hear the saws running most of the day, which makes it hard to talk sometimes. We’ve got piles of raw blocks waiting to be cut and finished slabs ready to go. The ground is always covered in a bit of slurry from the water used in the cutting process. It’s a heavy-duty environment and not the cleanest place to work, but that’s the nature of marble. We have a small office section where we keep the records and where we sit down when we need a break from the noise. The trucks come and go at all hours depending on the schedule. We don't really have a showroom, so if people want to see the marble, they usually walk through the factory floor with us. We’ve had this setup for quite a while now. The workers are mostly local guys from the nearby villages. It gets really bright outside when the sun reflects off all the white stone in the yard. We just focus on getting the cutting done and making sure the slabs are the right thickness. There’s not much more to it than that. It’s hard work and the days are long, especially when we have a big order to finish before the weekend.
