Shree Paliwal Dairy & Sweets

This shop, Shree Paliwal Dairy & Sweets, is right in the middle of Sadar Bazar near Dani Chabutra. It is a very busy part of town and there is always something going on outside our door. We deal with milk, curd, and all sorts of traditional sweets every single day. The morning starts really early for us because that is when the fresh milk comes in and we have to get everything sorted before the crowd starts coming. It gets quite loud with all the bikes and people shouting in the bazar, but we are used to it by now. We have been at this location for a good amount of time, and many people from the neighborhood come by every morning for their daily needs. Sometimes we run out of certain sweets by the afternoon if it is a festival day or just a busy Tuesday. We do not really do any fancy packaging or big advertisements. Most people just know we are here because of the Dani Chabutra. The shop itself is small and can get a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. We spend most of our time standing behind the counters or working in the back where the milk is boiled and the sweets are prepared. It is hard work and it gets very hot in the summer, but it keeps us busy. We just focus on getting the sweets right and making sure the dairy is fresh for the locals.
