Sanyamdeepa Welfare Foundation

We’re over on Station Road in Kalindi Vihar, Kankroli. The address is B-6. It’s a small place but it’s where we do all our work. Sanyamdeepa Welfare Foundation is basically just us. We aren't a big organization with a lot of funding. We just use what we have and keep things moving. The office is close to the station, so it’s easy for people to find us. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it tidy. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a lot of notes stuck everywhere with tape. Most of the time, we’re out in the community talking to people. We don't like to sit behind desks all day. It’s a practical way of working. We make our own tea and handle our own chores. There isn't any hierarchy here. We all just do whatever needs to be done. Sometimes the internet is slow, which is frustrating, but we manage. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to do some good in Kankroli. It’s a small town and news travels fast. We rely on people knowing us and trusting us. That’s more important than having a fancy office. We just keep plugging away at it, one day at a time, and hope it makes a little difference to the folks around here.
