Purnshree Foundation

Purnshree Foundation is run out of Bapu Nagar in Deogarh. Most people around here know Shashi Kumar Joshi, since his father Bhanwar Lal Joshi was well known in Rajsamand too. We aren't some big city organization with a hundred employees. It is just a few of us working out of the family home. Deogarh is a small place, so news travels fast and we usually hear about who needs help through word of mouth. Whether it’s helping a student with fees or just making sure someone has a warm meal, we try to be there. The office is basically just a desk in the corner of the house. It gets a bit noisy when the kids are around or when the neighbors stop by for tea. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or a big budget to work with. We just take things one day at a time. If you are looking for us, just ask anyone in Bapu Nagar for the Joshi house and they will point you the right way. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking around the neighborhood. It’s not always organized perfectly, and sometimes we are late answering letters, but the work gets done eventually. We like living here in Rajsamand and just want to be useful to the people we’ve known our whole lives. No big secrets or complicated plans, just local work.
