Mudit Art

Mudit Art is our little shop, number 146, located in Bada Bhanuja Village. We are part of the Khamnor Tehsil in Nathdwara. The shop is quite close to the Shree Nath Temple, so we see a lot of people passing by on their way to pray. Our space is filled with all sorts of local art and handmade things that we work on. It’s not a big gallery with spotlights, just a simple village shop with items displayed on wooden shelves. We spend a lot of our time sitting in the back or near the front door, working on new pieces. The light in Bada Bhanuja is quite good for this kind of work. Sometimes the village gets very crowded during festival times, and our shop gets a lot of visitors. Other times, it’s just us and the local neighbors. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website. Most people find us because they were walking to the temple and noticed the art. We try to use traditional styles that have been in this area for a long time. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road, so we're always wiping things down. It’s a quiet, slow-paced life for the most part. We like being near the temple and being part of the village community here in Nathdwara. We just make our art and hope it finds a good home. It’s simple and it’s what we do.
