Laxmi Watch Service is located right across from the Kabutarkhana over here in Rajnagar. If you stand out by the shop door, you can see all the pigeons gathered there every single day. It is a relatively quiet part of our town, which actually helps with the kind of work I have to do. Repairing watches requires a lot of concentration and not too many distractions. I have got my small work table set up with a bright lamp and all my tiny screwdrivers laid out in a neat row. I grew up in this area and decided to open this place because people always seem to have a watch that needs looking at. These days, it is mostly simple battery changes or fixing a piece of broken glass. I also see a lot of those old heavy wall clocks that people bring in wrapped up in old cloths. Those ones take a lot more time because the parts are much bigger and sometimes they are a bit rusted inside. The shop itself is small and definitely a bit old-fashioned compared to the new stores. I have a few wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait for a quick repair. I don't have any fancy computer systems for doing the bills, just a simple notebook and a blue pen. It has worked fine for me for years. People in Rajnagar know I am here from the morning until the sun goes down.
