Deepak Marble & Minerals

Amet is a place where you can't escape the stone business, and Deepak Marble & Minerals is right in the thick of it at Pipliya Kalan. We are at number 12. The ground here is always white with marble dust. We spend our days around the raw minerals and the cut stones. It’s a heavy industry, and the machines are loud. You get used to the noise after a while. My family has been involved in this kind of work for a long time. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we just have a room with a table, some chairs, and a lot of ledgers. We talk to the quarry owners and the cutters every day to see what’s available. It’s not a job for people who like to stay clean. By the end of the day, our clothes are covered in dust and our boots are worn out. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just want to sell our minerals and marble so we can pay the bills and keep going. The road to Amet can be rough, but people still make the trip to see the quality of the stone here. We just show them what we have and give them a fair price. That’s how we've always done it. Sometimes the neighbors come by to borrow a tool or just to chat about the local news. It’s a hard-working community out here.
