You can find Shiva Impex International over at No. 14 Bawa Nagar on the Chandigarh Road in District Patiala. It’s a bit of a drive out if you aren't from around here, but it’s a good spot for us. Being on the main road makes it easier for the transport trucks to find us, though the noise from the highway can be a bit much in the mornings. Our office is a straightforward place. We’ve got a few rooms for the staff and a bigger space where we handle the international paperwork. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything like that. The furniture is mostly mismatched stuff we’ve picked up over the years. We spend a lot of time looking at shipping schedules and making sure the customs forms are filled out correctly. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, punctuated by the occasional chaos when a shipment is delayed. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea, and there’s usually a bag of biscuits open on the table. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just show up, do the work, and try to keep everything moving smoothly. Patiala is a good place to be, and we’ve made some decent friends among the other businesses in Bawa Nagar.
