Avk Solar

Our place is out near the Focal Point, not too far from the Hindustan Lever factory on Chandigarh Road. Being near such a big landmark makes it easier for people to find Avk Solar. We spend a lot of our time outside or in the yard, usually messed up with a bit of dust or grease. Working with solar panels means we are always thinking about the sun and the roofs we have to climb on. It is hot work, especially out here on Chandigarh Road where there isn't much shade. Our office is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of maps and diagrams pinned to the walls. We don't spend much time sitting down, though. Usually, we are loading up the truck with panels and mounting brackets or checking the wiring on a new setup. The traffic near the factory can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to head out to our jobs early in the morning. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just know how to hook up the systems and make sure they’re catching the light. Sometimes the wind picks up and blows red dust all over everything, so we spend a lot of time cleaning off the equipment. It’s a practical job that keeps us on our toes. We just do the work, pack up our tools, and head home when it’s done.
