Shree Narmada Sugar Factory

We’ve been running the Shree Narmada Sugar Factory out here in Dharikheda for a good while now. If you're looking for us, we are located right near the Timbi post office area, not too far from the railway station. Being close to the tracks helps a bit with moving things, though the noise is something you just get used to after a few weeks. The factory itself is a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in. You’ll see trucks lined up all the way down the road sometimes. It’s dusty and hot work, but that’s the reality of sugar production. Most of us here are locals from the Rajpipla region. We start early in the morning, often before the sun is fully up, to get the machines going. There’s always something that needs fixing or a belt that needs tightening. It’s not a fancy office job by any means. We spend our days on the floor, checking the crushers and making sure the bags are filled right. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the rain hits hard and turns the yard into a mess of mud, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s just a regular group of people doing their jobs here in this corner of Timbi. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the sugar and the daily work that comes with it every single season.
