Our firm, Dalal And Shah, is located in the Bramhan para area of Rajnandgaon. We’re right by Digvijay Chowk, which is a pretty well-known spot for anyone living around here. The office belongs to the Shirish Ruparel building, and it’s been our home for quite some time. As chartered accountants, our days are filled with the usual stuff like auditing, tax planning, and keeping track of GST. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at spreadsheets, which can be tiring, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the bigger cities, but Digvijay Chowk always has some movement. We have a modest setup with enough room for our files and a couple of computers that have seen better days. There’s no corporate polish here. If you walk in, you’ll see us huddled over desks, maybe complaining a bit about the humidity or the latest tax deadline. We like the fact that we’re a local business. Most of our clients are people we see at the market or around town. We don’t use any complicated jargon if we can help it; we just tell people what they need to know about their money. It’s a slow and steady kind of life in Rajnandgaon. We take our breaks, talk to the neighbors, and make sure the books are balanced. It’s honest work, and we’re just glad to be a small part of the community here in Chhattisgarh.
