Swastik Refractories

Swastik Refractories is situated right on the 8-A National Highway in Hasanpur, Wankaner. Being on the highway means there is always traffic zooming past, which you get used to after a while. It’s a dusty spot, but it makes it easy for the trucks to pull in and out when they are picking up or dropping off loads. We spend most of our time out in the yard or near the kilns. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months when the sun is hitting the highway. We’ve been here for a good while and the routine doesn't change much from day to day. We start early, check the materials, and get the production line going. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a tour, but it works for what we do. The bricks and materials we handle are heavy, so it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes we have to wait on supplies to arrive from further down the road. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. It’s just us doing the refractory work. When the day is over, we lock up and head back into town. Wankaner is a small enough place that everyone kind of knows what everyone else is doing. We just try to stay consistent and keep the shop running without too much trouble. It is a long day usually, but we get it done for everyone.
