Vastsalya Hospital & Maternity Homes

Vastsalya Hospital & Maternity Homes is located over in Karanpara, specifically on Street No. 27. We are really close to the ST Bus Station, so there is always a lot of movement around the area. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. Because we handle maternity cases, there’s a lot of excitement here quite often. It’s not uncommon to hear a baby crying in the middle of the night or families whispering in the corridors. The building is a bit of a labyrinth if you don’t know your way around, with different sections for the wards. We’ve got some old wooden benches in the waiting area and a clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly. The staff stays busy with paperwork and making sure the rooms are tidy. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have fancy art on the walls, just the stuff we need to keep things running. Being near the bus station means we get people from all over who might be just passing through or coming into town for help. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep the interior clean. Sometimes we’re up all night and then the morning shift arrives and everything starts over again. It’s a place where life happens, with all the noise and routine that comes with it. We just stay focused on the work at hand and the families.
