V. K. Enterprise

We are set up at 2/12 in the Atika area, right across from Jekson Engineering. It’s an industrial part of town, so you’ll see a lot of workshops and small units around us. The road is often dusty and there’s usually the sound of someone grinding metal or moving heavy parts nearby. Our place is basically one large room where we do everything. We have a workbench on one side and the office stuff on the other. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the roof is low, but we have a couple of good fans going. We don't really have a lobby; if someone comes by, they just walk right in and talk to whoever isn't busy. We handle a lot of different things throughout the week. Sometimes it’s quiet and we’re just catching up on paperwork, and other times it’s a mess of boxes and parts. We’ve been here for a while, so we know all the neighbors and the delivery drivers. We don't try to look like a big corporation because we aren't one. We’re just a local enterprise doing our bit. We make sure we do the job right so people come back, but we don't make a big fuss about it. It’s just how we work. Most mornings start with a quick cup of tea while we look at the schedule. Then it’s just one task after another until we lock the gate at night.
