Swastik Builders Co.

Down here in Upleta, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Swastik Builders Co. is based right here. It’s a small town in Gujarat where everyone knows everyone else. You’ll find our office on one of the main roads, but it’s nothing fancy. Just a place to sit, look at some plans, and drink tea with people who drop by. The dust from the construction sites usually settles on the windows by the afternoon. We spend a lot of time out on the sites anyway, so the office is often empty for hours. When we are there, it’s usually just to settle some accounts or talk to a supplier. Upleta isn't a place with huge skyscrapers, so we work on smaller local projects. Houses, shops, that kind of thing. The weather is usually dry, which is good for building but tough on the guys working outside. We’ve lived here our whole lives, so we know the ground pretty well. We don't use big fancy marketing. People just see what we’ve built down the street and come talk to us. It’s a simple way to do business. We have a few old desks, a couple of chairs for visitors, and a lot of blueprints rolled up in the corner. It’s a bit messy, but it’s where the work gets planned. That’s just how we do it here. We are just local builders doing our part in this town. It's home.
