Tulsidas Laxmichand Parekh

You can find our shop, Tulsidas Laxmichand Parekh, right in the heart of Soni Bazar. This area is known for its narrow streets and constant bustle, and we have been a part of it for many years. It is a small place, but it is where we do all our work with jewelry and metals. Most of our day is spent sitting at the small workbenches with our tools and magnifying glasses. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny website; we just rely on the people who walk through the bazaar and know our name. It gets quite crowded in the shop sometimes when a few customers come in at once, but that is just how things go in Soni Bazar. We do a lot of traditional work, fixing old pieces or making new ones by hand. There is always the sound of small hammers tapping and the smell of the polishing compound in the air. We often share a cup of tea with the neighbors or a long-time customer who just stopped by to say hello. It is a very local way of doing business. We don't make a big deal out of what we do. We just focus on the craft and try to make sure every piece is handled with care. The light in the shop is a bit dim except for the lamps over our desks, but it’s a comfortable place for us. We’ve seen many shops come and go.
